Tesla Vandalism

A wave of attacks on Tesla facilities has happened throughout the entire United States.  This comes as Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, attempts to cut the federal workforce through DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) and continues to delve deeper into how much power DOGE really has.

At least ten acts of vandalism against Tesla vehicles, dealerships and charging stations have happened in recent weeks. On Jan. 29, a woman named Lucy Grace Nelson threw a molotov cocktail at Cybertruck in Loveland, Colorado. The woman allegedly returned to the dealership four more times in recent weeks, hurling molotov cocktails and attempting to set the dealership ablaze.  She also spray painted the words “nazi cars” onto the building and was arrested later that  week.

In Boston, on March 4th, more than half-a-dozen charging stations were intentionally set on fire near Boston. Seven shots were fired at a Tesla dealership in Tigard, Oregon on March 6th. It shattered multiple car windows and damaged three cars.

Across Europe and America, there has been a lot of cultural backlash over the work that Musk has been doing.  The backlash can be traced to Musk’s new DOGE administration who has cut over 62,000 federal jobs with more cuts planned. Musk continues to make inflammatory comments on his platform, X, formerly known as “Twitter”, as well as at far-right rallies in Germany, where he said "children should not be guilty of the sins of their parents, let alone their great-grandparents.”

This  combination of factors has coincided with Musk's net worth dropping more than 100 billion dollars as well. We have still yet to see how Musk will continue to change the government. Stay tuned.
